BP1: Lizard Wizard

The game I "adopted" from the internet archive was a game called Lizard Wizard. I didn't know anything about it, but it had the coolest name. My first problem was that I didn't read the instructions and attempted to start playing it in my browser. I thought I was playing (and doing a decent job) until I realized that it was just the animation that the menu defaults to when you don't press anything. I had to use the "Insert Coin, 1 Player, 2 Player" buttons on the side in order to actually get the game to start. Then, I still didn't read the instructions, and found myself getting frustrated that the space bar wasn't working to shoot anything. I finally went back and read the instructions and started kicking some lizard ass with my awesome flamethrower using the alt key. However, my mac will switch desktop screens whenever I press an arrow button and alt at the same time, so I had to mentally make sure I alternated the buttons when I pressed them. I played about ten times and killed a max of ten lizards before I got fed up and quit because I would keep changing desktop screens and killing me.

I imagine it would be more fun if I could figure out how to turn off my computer shortcuts. The controls were still a little difficult and the gravity felt weird but it was still pretty fun. It would probably be way more fun and immersive playing it on the original hardware, but having it in fullscreen mode was pretty great. I'll probably check out a few more!
